The Science and Technology in Society (STS) forum will take place from 2 – 4 October 2022 in Kyoto, Japan and GYA Co-Chair Priscilla Kolibea Mante (Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana)will attend and speak at the conference.
Priscilla will be a speaker in the session “Cooperation in S&T – Fostering New Generations of Scientists“, in which the topic of recruiting and retaining talented researchers as a challenge for all research institutions will be discussed.
The Science and Technology in Society (STS) forum aims to provide a new mechanism for open discussions on an informal basis, and to build a human network that would, in time, resolve the new types of problems stemming from the application of science and technology. Its basic concept is to bring together scientists and global leaders in the fields of politics, business and academia who meet yearly in Kyoto, Japan, not as representatives of their organizations but as concerned individuals. The forum community explores the opportunities arising from science and technology, and addresses how to remove the barriers to using science and technology to solve the problems facing humankind. Participants generally undertake cross-border activities towards the establishment of shared values and commitment for the future. The event is an annual convening of well over 1,000 creative and visionary minds from 80 countries and regions.
