The International Conference of Young Scientists and Annual General Meeting (AGM) is the annual key event of the GYA, and the main meeting in which the members can work together on the goals of this global organization. This years conference theme is ‘Innovation for Sustainable Globalization’ and provides a rallying point for outstanding young scientists from around the world to consider new mechanisms and initiatives to support innovation for sustainable development in an increasingly global world.
GYA members convene in person once a year at the Annual General Meeting. This year’s Global Young Academy 4th International Conference for Young Scientists and Annual General Meeting (21–25 May 2014) takes place in Santiago, Chile hosted by the University of Chile and Santiago de Chile and Pontifica Universidad Católica de Chile. The topic is “Natural Resources in a Finite World”.
The 2013 General Assembly took place from 15-18 May 2013 at the beautiful premises of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina in Halle (Saale), Germany. The meeting brings together 78 GYA members from 37 countries, distinguished members of the GYA advisory board, and senior science ambassadors from around the world. The theme of the 2013 meeting is “Demography and Global Research”.
