Biography

Dr. Wahajuddin is working as principal scientist at Division of Pharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics, CSIR Central Drug Research Institute Lucknow India where he has been studying pharmacokinetics and biopharmaceutics of potential candidate molecules of CSIR-CDRI drug R&D pipeline (in addition to marketed drugs/metabolites/natural products) and deciphering the molecular mechanism(s) of ADME/disposition thereof. He has 98 research papers, 6 science popularization articles, 6 patents and 6 books chapters to his credit. HE has won many awards and accolades from national/state govt., industries, professional societies and international scientific bodies (including Humboldt research fellowship). He has been elected member to national academies (National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Medical Sciences and Indian National Young Academy of Sciences). Dr Wahajuddin has contributed significantly in both exploratory as well as regulatory components of new drug discovery, development and delivery research.
