Biography
Myrtani holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Oxford, UK and she is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Life and Health Sciences, University of Nicosia. Her research work focuses on Kidney and Gastrointestinal tract physiology. In 2011 Myrtani won the international competition in Science Communication, Famelab, and since then she is devoted in Science Outreach. Myrtani is the co-founder of SciCo-Cyprus, an NGO, based in Cyprus, with the expertise in communicating scientific issues to the public aiming at bridging Science and Society.
