Biography
I am a physician-scientist with an education and career that has spanned over 15 years, across India and the USA. After my MBBS and MD in India, I moved to the US for a PhD. I completed my PhD from the University of Texas at Austin, and returned to India in 2018 to establish my independent research group. My research focuses on understanding complex infection microenvironments, and developing human-relevant preclinical infection platforms to parse host-pathogen interactions and develop novel and composite antimicrobial approaches.
In addition to our research, my group is actively engaged with the larger science ecosystem in India and across the world, via our science communication and outreach initiatives.
