News of the Global Young Academy

The GYA’s 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and International Conference of Young Scientists successfully concluded on 19 June, and included member Lightning Talks – rapid-fire presentations on the speakers’ research and work on global problems and potential solutions for society.

Featured speakers included Shalini Arya (Institute of Chemical Technology, India), Chris Barrington Leigh (McGill University, Canada), Encieh Erfani (IASBS, Iran), Jane Yau (DIPF Leibniz Institute for Research and Information in Education, Germany), Laura Zimmermann (University of Georgia Department of Economics and Department of International Affairs, USA) and Robert Lepenies (Karlshochschule International University, Germany).
