Biography
Fatemeh Mohammadipanah received her Bachelor and Master degree in Microbiology and completed her PhD by working on the discovery of new bioactive molecules from Actinobacteria in 2011 as a sandwich PhD program between University of Tehran and University of Goettingen. She was employed by the Department of Microbial Biotechnology of the University of Tehran as a faculty member in 2012. Dr. Mohammadipanah established the University of Tehran Microorganisms Collection (UTMC) and served as its curator till 2015. Since then, she is the advisor of international affairs at College of Science at University of Tehran.
The laboratory of Dr. Mohamadipanah is focused on the isolation of less explored bacteria and description of new species as well as investigation of their potential as factory of novel pharmaceuticals with alleviation/prevention effect by in-vitro analysis.
