The World Health Organization (WHO) is seeking internationally recognized experts with outstanding accomplishments and a proven understanding of global health challenges to join its Science Council. This call offers a unique opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of global health through science-driven recommendations and impactful initiatives. Members will identify scientific breakthroughs, assess urgent scientific issues, and provide guidance on research and innovation. Since its establishment in 2021, the Council has played a vital role in providing scientific leadership and advising the Director-General on pressing global health issues. It has produced foundational reports addressing equitable access to genomics technologies, the opportunities and challenges of mRNA technologies, and the advancement of digital health solutions.
