The book Responsibility for Refugee and Migrant Integration contributes to the ongoing debate about the integration of newcomers into societies by gathering insights from different academic disciplines, experiences from migrants and newcomers, and comments from those engaged in the day-to-day work of integration. It focuses on the role and responsibility of individuals in the face of multi-faceted and complex global and social challenges of migration and integration. The volume is the outcome of an interdisciplinary collaboration that started as the Global Migration and Human Rights working group of the GYA. Several working group meetings, including a symposium at the Munich Center for Ethics, informed this collection.
Today, 18 July, is Nelson Mandela International Day, a global celebration of individuals‘ agency in creating a better world. The book Responsibility for Refugee and Migrant Integration aims to contribute to social justice, diversity and peace by sharing diverse perspectives on integration.
