Biography

Associate Professor / Pharmaceutical Chemistry

Thashree is an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Wits Advanced Drug Delivery Platform research unit at the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmacology in the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS), South Africa. Her current research is focused on the molecular engineering of precise systems for therapeutic applications, with demonstrated expertise in the fields of biomaterials and biometals. She is a recognised mentor, who draws upon modern pedagogy and innovative teaching and learning practices.  She is a persistent yet patient academic who strives to maintain genuine engagement in her research, teaching and social responsiveness.
