Biography

Dr. Soracha received her Ph.D. in Nanoengineering from the University of California, San Diego in 2014 and received postdoctoral trainings in the Nanoengineering Department at UCSD. She holds a M.E. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Colorado State University and B.Pharm. from Pharmacy School in Thailand. With interdisciplinary background, her passion is to make better therapeutics to cure any disease using engineering approaches. She believes that cross-disciplinary collaboration is important to create an innovation.

As a professor at Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Medicine at Prince of Songkla University, her research focuses on the development of biomimetic nanomaterials and multifunctional nanoparticles for several therapeutic applications including the treatment and diagnostic of infectious disease, and cancer. Soracha’s goal is to develop novel therapeutic nano-biomaterials that can translate into clinical practice, with the goal of improving patient’s health.
