Biography
Dr. Shankar Kausley is a Senior Scientist at TCS Research. He completed his Ph.D. (Tech) in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai.
His research interests include water and wastewater treatment, food quality prediction, and functional coatings.
He is one of the inventors of Tata Swach®, the Nanotech water purifier, launched in the Indian market in 2009 as one of the world’s most cost-effective water purifiers and a recipient of the ‘DST-Lockheed Martin-Tata Trusts India Innovation Growth Programme 2018’ award for the solution developed for the treatment and reuse of industrial effluents.
He is a ‘Certified Water Specialist’ from Water quality association, USA and is a member of the Indian National Young Academy of Sciences (INYAS) and the Global Young Academy (GYA), Germany.
