The event “Mediale Welten”(organized by Akademieunion and Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz, supported by GYA) will take place on 1 September 2014, 1-6pm at BBAW in Berlin. GYA member Sabina Leonelli will participate in a panel on “Current Practices and Future Visions of Communication and Scientific Dialogue in the Digital Age” at the event “Mediale Welten. Wissen, Information und Kommunikation im digitalen Umbruch” (Mediated Worlds: Knowledge, Information and Communication in the Digital Age). The event is part of the German Science Year on “Digital Society” and will cover different topics on how the digital revolution changed not only our everyday life but also the scientific communication and the way we get, collect and disseminate information. The chances and risks of changes through digital media for these areas will be discussed throughout this event.
