Dear the newest cohort of GYA Alumni,
The time has finally come for us to say “GOODBYE”, but we hope it is not going to be “FOR GOOD”! Since 2019, the number of GYA alumni has surpassed the number of active members. This emphasised the need for the GYA to be more proactive in engaging with and harnessing the valuable resource that you – our alumni – represent! To this end, an “exit survey” has been developed and issued since 2019, to collect information from outgoing GYA members to better assess your GYA experience and consider how we might engage going forward.
The objectives of the exit survey are:
1. To gather some information on your experience as a member to help us improve on the experience of current and future members.
2. To find out your plans as an alumna or alumnus, and get an idea about the ways in which you may be interested in being engaged.
One more thing…
BEFORE YOU GO: STRENGTHEN YOUR ONLINE VISIBILITY
If you haven’t already,
- We strongly encourage you to strengthen your online visibility by updating your ORCID profile (mentioning Global Young Academy in it) and by uploading a picture on WikiCommons (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wikimedia_OTRS_releasegenerator) and letting us know about it in cc (). Journalists can then use this to write a Wikipedia article about you.
- We also encourage members and alumni to keep their GYA profiles as updated as their Linked-In or other social media profiles, so that you are searchable within the GYA network and beyond for ongoing opportunities.
