Biography
Engineer in Natural Resources and Environment/ Forest conservation and management, Mercedes is an experienced researcher in the study of the impacts of climate change on forests with a strong wish to contribute to the conservation and sustainable management of nature.
She currently works at the European Forest Institute – Mediterranean facility (Spain) on the interphase between research and policy on forest-related issues. She also holds a researcher position at the National Scientific and Technological Research Council (IMBIV-CONICET-Argentina) focussing is on the regeneration of woody species of the Chaco region of in the face of climate change.
