Each year in January, the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW) holds the “Sophie Charlotte Salon”, an evening event to introduce the public to the activities of the BBAW and its various projects and partners. It includes discussions, presentations, music and other performances by BBAW members and staff. As the GYA Executive Committee will hold its in-person meeting in Berlin at the same time, EC members will participate in the event and present young scientists’ perspectives.
This year’s Sophie Charlotte Salon focuses on “Europa – Ein Zukunftsort” (“Europe and its Future”, or rather: “Quo Vadis, Europe?”).
GYA members will provide “Perspectives on Europe by young scientists from around the world” in a speed-dating format, at 10:30 pm in room 230 of the BBAW.
