GYA Co-Chair Priscilla Kolibea Mante (Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana) spoke at the 2022 Science and Technology in Society (STS) forum in October in Kyoto, Japan.
Priscilla represented the GYA and young researchers around the world in the session “Cooperation in S&T – Fostering New Generations of Scientists”, and throughout the conference.
“Attending the STS Forum was an opportunity to be a part of lively discussions between young and established leaders working in almost every industry around the world. Scientists had the opportunity for close, personal interactions with government and industry leaders openly discussing the challenges as well as opportunities that science and digitalization bring to society. It was inspiring to learn about AI, health, energy and environment from leaders in the field. The diversity the forum presents in terms of participants allowed for very broad ranged discussions especially on how the world needs to move forward given the challenging times we find ourselves in.”
