The GYA, in cooperation with the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP), is co-organizing a capacity building workhop for approximately 35 early-career researchers on Trust in Science, to take place in tandem with the 2024 World Science Forum (WSF).
A GYA panel on Research Assessment, in cooperation with the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA) will also be featured at the WSF. This year’s WSF will be held in Budapest, Hungary, from 20-23 November. Every two years, over 900 leading scientists, decision-makers from the world of politics, industry, representatives of the civil society and the media from all over the world gather for the World Science Forum to engage in dialogue about pressing global challenges.
GYA members and alumni will be well-reprsented at the WSF, speaking in plenary panels and thematic sessions, and taking part in the ECRs workshop.
The GYA has been represented on the WSF Steering Committee since 2019; for the 2024 meeting, immediate past GYA Co-Chair Priscilla Kolibea Mante (Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana) represented the GYA and young scientists worldwide.
