Several GYA members will participate in the 3rd biennial conference on “Science Advice in a changing world” which is being organised by the International Network for Government Science Advice (INGSA) from 6-7 November 2018 in Tokyo, Japan.
In partnership with the Young Academy of Japan, the GYA is organising a satellite science leadership workshop focusing on science advice capacity building for young scientists.
INGSA is a global forum for policy-makers, practitioners, academies, and academics to share experience, build capacity, and develop theoretical and practical approaches to the use of scientific evidence in informing policy at all levels of government.
The INGSA Conference 2018 will bring together policy professionals, leading practitioners, scholars, and industry representatives interested in the dynamics of the science-policy interface. The conference will to explore principles, practices, and the dynamics of working at the science-policy interface, particularly in relation to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
