The Philipp Schwartz Forum provides an opportunity for threatened researchers, host institutions, funding organisations, and partners in Germany and abroad to discuss current issues and strategies related to the topic of threatened scholars. The Forum is organized by the Philipp Schwartz Initiative of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, which enables universities and research institutions in Germany to host researchers at risk on the basis of a full fellowship. InSPIREurope is a Europe-wide initiative to support researchers who are at risk due to discrimination, persecution, suffering or violence. Funded under the European Commission’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, the initiative is hosted at Maynooth University in Ireland and coordinated by Scholars at Risk Europe.
The GYA At-Risk Scholars Initiative partners with Scholars at Risk and the Philipp Schwartz Initiative to support early career at-risk scholars in continuing their careers through an international mentoring programme. Representatives from the GYA Initiative will participate in this Forum.
