Applications are now open for the prestigious 2026 WDS Data Stewardship Award, recognizing exceptional contributions to data stewardship and advancing Open Science across disciplines. The award celebrates individuals who ensure excellent data management, integrity, and accessibility throughout the research data lifecycle, adhering to legal, policy, and ethical standards. Ideal candidates are early-career professionals within 10 years of their Master’s, PhD, or equivalent training. A panel from the WDS Scientific Committee and International Technology Office will review nominations. They look for nominees who have made outstanding contributions to good data management practices. Candidates may apply themselves or be suggested by a peer or an organization.
