International Climate Protection Fellowship

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation invites applications for its International Climate Protection Fellowship, open to prospective leaders and postdocs from non-European developing or transition countries. The fellowship offers the opportunity to conduct impactful research in Germany—one year for prospective leaders or 12-24 months for postdocs. This programme emphasizes diversity and inclusivity, encouraging applications from underrepresented groups and individuals of all backgrounds. Funded through the International Climate Initiative (IKI), the fellowship supports global climate action in collaboration with Germany’s Federal Ministries and the Foreign Office.

If you’re committed to advancing sustainability and climate solutions in your home country, this is your chance to make a difference. Visit the Humboldt Foundation website for eligibility details and application guidelines.
