Biography
Anina is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Criminal Law and Criminology, University of Bern. She applies herbackground in sociology, criminology, and computational social sciences to study social inequalities, cohesion, and resilience. Her current projects examine the social networks and dynamics that led to the emergence and evolution of extremist movements in contemporary societies and the impact of generative AI on the resilience of democracies. Aformer fellow of Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center and Max Planck Society alumna, Anina draws on international and interdisciplinary collaborations to help design interventions for more resilient societies. Recipient of multiple grants and awards, she also serves as a Board Member of the Academy of Sociology.
