Young scientists and European science advice
In March, the Young Academy of Europe (YAE) and the Finnish Academy of Science and Letters co-organised a seminar on the roles young scientists can play in European science advice. With the Young Academies Science Advice Structure (YASAS) becoming an official partner of the new SAPEA+ project in Europe, now is an important moment for young scientists to explore the formal, and less formal, avenues for getting involved in science advice.

Science and art exhibition by Belgian Young Academy
In 2020, the Belgian Young Academy’s working group on Art and Science published a book titled “OVERLAP – the No Man’s Land between Art and Science”, which provides a contemporary state of the art overview of the multitude of practices on the border – or in the overlap – between art and science.
Building on this publication, beginning in 2021 the group organised a travelling exhibition in various Belgian cities, which will close in April 2022 with a finissage in Hasselt, Belgium.
To watch a trailer, register to attend the finissage, and to learn more about the exhibit visit their website here.
