A “Water Footprint” training course (in Spanish) will take place online on 16 October 2017, held by GYA alumna Maite Aldaya, research associate at the Water Observatory of Spain, and organised by the Fundación Centro Internacional de Hidrología Subterránea (FCIHS). The 40-hour course aims to provide participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to evaluate the water footprint in terms of water quantity and quality, based on international standards (ISO 14046 2014 and Global Water Footprint Standard). The ultimate goal is to build understanding of how Water Footprint Assessment can contribute to sustainable water use through public policies and corporate sustainability strategies.
