Biography

I, Dr. Roseline Oluwaseun Ogundokun is an esteemed AI researcher, computer scientist, and academic specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Medical Imaging, Machine Learning, and Information Security. She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Computer Systems Engineering, Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), Pretoria, South Africa (2024–2025). She holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria (2015–2022) and is pursuing a second PhD in Multimedia Engineering at Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania (2021–2025).

Dr. Ogundokun has made significant contributions to the field of AI-driven research with over 205 publications indexed in Google Scholar and 159 indexed in SCOPUS, accumulating thousands of citations. Her research impact has earned her a place among the Top 2% of Scientists Worldwide in 2023 and 2024, recognized by Elsevier and Stanford University.

Consequently, she has been consistently ranked among the top 500 researchers in Nigeria for over five years, based on SciVal analysis using SCOPUS-Elsevier data.
As a Lecturer and Researcher at Landmark University, Nigeria, she has played a pivotal role in AI-driven predictive analytics, medical diagnostics, and smart healthcare solutions, advancing research that aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 3, 4 and 11). She has also served as a Visiting Lecturer at Thomas Adewumi University and the Nigerian Army College of Education, where she teaches advanced courses in Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, and Database Management.

Dr. Ogundokun is a passionate mentor, having supervised and guided over 36 undergraduate and postgraduate students in cutting-edge research areas, including Deep Learning, Medical Image Processing, and Cybersecurity. She has also actively contributed to mentorship programs such as Empowering Female Minds in STEM (EFeMS), Neuromatch Academy, and Deep Learning Indaba 2024, providing expert guidance to aspiring AI researchers.

Dr. Ogundokun is an esteemed editorial board member and reviewer for leading scientific journals, reflecting her significant contributions to academia and research. She has served as an Editorial Board Member for CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua since May 19, 2023, and for Humanities and Social Sciences Communications since July 2023. Her role in these prestigious journals highlights her expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Medical Imaging and her commitment to advancing knowledge in these domains.

Beyond her editorial responsibilities, Dr. Ogundokun has played key roles in research planning and academic leadership. She was an integral part of the Planning Committee for the 1st and 2nd IEEE International Conferences (October 2022–April 2023), contributing to successfully organizing these high-profile events. She has been a Departmental Board of Examiners and Review Member since April 2015, ensuring academic standards and excellence in research assessments. Additionally, she has been the Departmental Project Coordinator for the Department of Computer Science at Landmark University since 2020, overseeing research projects and fostering student innovation.

Her leadership extends to quality assurance and research development. As the Secretary of the Departmental Quality Assurance Team since 2020, she has contributed to maintaining high academic standards and program accreditation. She is also a member of the Landmark University Grantsmanship Team, a position she has held since February 2023, where she plays a pivotal role in securing research funding and fostering collaboration on cutting-edge
projects.

Dr. Ogundokun is actively involved in university administration and research development, holding several strategic positions that contribute to Landmark University academic and institutional growth. Since 2022, she has served as the LUCRID College of Pure and Applied Sciences (CPAS) Representative, playing a key role in facilitating interdisciplinary research and academic collaboration. Her commitment to academic excellence and institutional development is further demonstrated in her role as the Departmental Ceremonies Representative since 2019, where she has been instrumental in coordinating academic events, conferences, and departmental engagements.

Additionally, she has been the Team Lead for Sustainable Development Growth (SDG 4) since March 2023, a role through which she actively promotes quality education initiatives, bridging the gap between academic research and societal impact. Through these leadership and administrative roles, Dr. Ogundokun continues to influence research, mentorship, and academic policy, contributing significantly to advancing AI-driven research, quality education, and sustainable development.
