Paula Kivimaa

Biography

Paula did a BSc in Environmental Science & Business Management and an MSc in Environmental Technology in the UK. In 2002, she returned to Finland and took a position as a researcher in the Research Programme for Environmental Policy in the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE). During 2004-2008 Paula completed a PhD in organisations and management in Helsinki School of Economics, focusing on the innovation effects of environmental policies. After completing her PhD, Paula has worked as a Senior Researcher at SYKE first in the Research Programme for Environmental Policy and from 2010 in the Climate Change Programme. Her current research focuses on innovations in the energy systems and climate policy integration.
