Biography
Dr. Natalia Montellano Duran is a Bolivian biotechnologist and researcher specializing in bioactive molecules, soft matter, and STEM education. She holds a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences and is currently the Director of Biotechnology at the Universidad Católica Boliviana – Santa Cruz. Passionate about scientific dissemination and education, she actively promotes applied learning in biotechnology and has received multiple awards for her contributions to education and scientific merit.
In addition to her academic leadership, she is involved in national and international research projects, particularly in enzyme isolation, bioprocesses, and biotechnology applications in health and industry. She also advocates for the development of scientific environments in Bolivia and is engaged in projects related to bioeconomy, bioproducts, and sustainable technologies.
