Biography

Dr. Mubasher Jamil received his B. Sc. Degree in 2001 from the University of Punjab, Lahore and M. Sc. Degree (Mathematics) in 2004 from the Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. He received his Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan in 2010. He joined NUST-Center for Advanced Mathematics and Physics (CAMP) soon after finishing Ph.D. in 2010 as Assistant Professor. During 2010-11, he visited twice the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics in Italy as a High Energy Junior Guest Scientist. From Feb. 2012 till Feb. 2013, he worked as a Foreign Visiting Professor at the Department of Physics, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Astana, Kazakhstan. He has published more than 100 research papers and 2 books in the field of General Relativity and Cosmology. He is also an active referee for many scientific journals. He has been in the organizing committees of two international conferences on physics as well. In 2011, he was awarded the prestigious Dr. Raziuddin Siddiqi Prize (Gold Medal) in Mathematics from the Pakistan Academy of Sciences. In the same year, he was selected as Category-A scientist by the Pakistan Council for Science and Technology, Islamabad and consequently received the Research Productivity Award 2011. He became the Young Affiliate Fellow of the Academy of Sciences of Developing World (TWAS), Italy in 2012. He was selected as a member of Global Young Academy (GYA) Germany in 2012. He is a life-time member of Pakistan Physical Society and the National Academy of Young Scientists, Pakistan.
