Biography
Martin Schletterer is an ecologist at TIWAG (www.tiwag.at) and a Senior Researcher at BOKU University (www.boku.ac.at). His research and teaching in the field of limnology (freshwater science) include ecological approaches, taxonomy and biogeography (macroinvertebrates and fish), using conventional and molecular approaches. He contributes to river science, using ecohydraulics and biodiversity as a key for sustainable management and planning processes on catchment scale, linking basic ecosystem-oriented and applied research. Martin received his M.Sc. (Mag. Biol.) in 2007 and the PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) in 2010 from the University of Innsbruck and obtained the venia docendi in limnology at BOKU University in 2020.
