Biography
Keith Phiri is a Senior lecturer in the Department of Development Studies at Lupane State University. He has research interests in livelihoods and the environment, particularly in the area of climate change. He has researched on smallholder farmers’ adaptive responses to global warming. Keith also has research interests on gender issues, poverty, globalization, marginalized communities and social justice He also has a keen interest in monitoring and evaluation. He holds a PhD in Social Sciences (University of Fort hare, South Africa) where his study focus was on the efficacy of small grains and small livestock production as technical climate change adaptation options in Tsholotsho and Matobo, Zimbabwe. He has a number of research articles from referred journals on climate change impacts and adaptation. He is an Eisenhower Fellow class of 2022.
