The GYA has just published its 2017 Year Report, which includes 12 stories on what we have collectively achieved during 2017.
The report features a wide range of activities from our Working Groups and Members from last year, including the accomplishments and publications of our Working Group Biodiversity for Survival via Biomedicine, GYA Members’ efforts to aid displaced scholars through mentoring, the outreach activities of the Young Scientist Ambassador Program, which contributed to the United Nations Economic and Social Council 2018 Youth Forum, the worldwide meeting of Young Academies, and GYA’s participation in the Word Science 2017 in Amman, Jordan where young scientists explored ways in which science and technology is or can be weaponised – from bionics to cybersecurity to genome editing – and discussed regional and global approaches to various solutions.
