GYA member Aminata Garba (Carnegie Mellon University, Rwanda) has been invited to serve on the WDS Scientific Committee, the governing body of the World Data System (WDS). The Scientific Committee includes leading scientists and experts on data and/or computer sciences from diverse disciplines and geographical regions, who jointly address large dataset issues.
Aminata is one of three newly invited committee members. She is Associate Professor at Carnegie Mellon University, Africa, interested in emerging digital technologies, digital infrastructure, technologies and policies and higher education.
