The GYA joins higher education associations, networks, and academies to endorse an urgent appeal by Scholars at Risk Europe to European governments and European Union institutions to take immediate action to secure the lives and careers of Afghanistan’s scholars, students, and civil society actors. The GYA At-Risk Scholars Initiative partners with Scholars at Risk to mentor early-career at-risk and displaced scholars, and in joint career skills workshops.
Appealing to governments, universities and scientific organisations around the world, the GYA also released a Declaration of Support for Afghan Scholars, with concrete recommendations for actions.
