Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI) and the Thai Young Scientists Academy (TYSA) extended an invitation to GYA Co-Chair Felix Moronta (ICGEB, Italy) to deliver a presentation at Kasetsart University on 19 January.
The talk, titled “Cultivating Progress: ICGEB’s Path to Environmental Biosafety,” highlighted the Regulatory Science Group’s initiatives at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), where Felix holds the position of Senior Programme Assistant. He examined the regulatory intricacies of emerging biotechnologies, especially in agriculture, triggering valuable discussions with laboratory personnel and professors.
This engagement was organised by Assist. Prof. Ekaphan Kraichak, the TYSA Co-Chair. In addition to the university talk, Felix actively participated in a mini Science Leadership Workshop co-organised by TSRI and TYSA in collaboration with Inclusive Innovation. During the session, Felix interacted with young Thai scientists and engineers, sharing insights into GYA activities and distributing copies of GYA Connections magazine. These activities were part of a Felix’s comprehensive and fruitful working trip.
