Poster Competition on Biodiversity for New Medicine
The GYA working group on Biodiversity for Survival via Biomedicine is inviting contributions to a poster competition on “Biodiversity for New Medicine” from high school students and university students from Egypt.
Biodiversity refers to the variety of life that can be found in a given area, including animals, plants, fungi, and even microorganisms. Each of these species and organisms collaborate in ecosystems to maintain balance and support life, much like an intricate web. Knowledge about the medicinal properties of different species can help to develop new pharmaceuticals from nature while protecting biodiversity. Furthermore, biodiversity serves as the foundation for medical models that help us understand human physiology and disease.
This poster competition is looking for perspectives on the issue of biodiversity as a future hub for medicine from young people.
Submitted entries will be reviewed by the GYA Biodiversity working group, and the winning two posters will be published on the GYA website, social media channels and in a video.
The deadline for poster submissions is 30 April 2024.
In the following, you can submit your poster and a brief description.
