Biography

I am a chair professor of Experimental Physics at the Department of Engineering Sciences and Mathematics, LuleÃ¥ University of Technology (Sweden) and a chair professor of Industrial Engineering at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (Italy). I obtained my degree in Physics from the University of Padova (Italy, 1999) and my PhD in Electronic Engineering from the University of Trento (Italy, 2003). My research interests include the development of advanced nanomaterials and composites for energy and related applications, including solar cells, luminescent concentrators, hydrogen production through water splitting, water desalination and water cleaning. I am very active in disseminating science through organization of symposia at the most important conferences in the field. I am associate editor of Nano Energy (Elsevier) and I am in the editorial board of Small (Wiley), Scientific Reports (NPG) and Nanoenergy Advances (MDPI).
