On 27 September 2018, Austria’s Young Academy celebrated its tenth anniversary with current and former members at the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW) in Vienna. Established in 2008 as the “Junge Kurie”, as it was then known, the Young Academy comprises up to 70 excellent up-and-coming scientists from all disciplines and actively contributes to the strengthening of innovative research and the promotion of young researchers. Unlike some other National Young Academies, Austria’s Young Academy is an integral part of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and has comprehensive participation rights within this academy.
More information on the Austrian Young Academy’s mission and activities can be found on their website.
