Biography
Dr. Rishemjit Kaur is a Senior Principal Scientist at CSIR–Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIR-CSIO), India, and an Associate Professor at the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR). With over a decade of expertise in artificial intelligence and natural language processing, her research focuses on low-resource languages, agriculture, and food systems. She is currently leading the development of large language models tailored for Indian farmers in local languages. Dr. Kaur’s contributions have earned her wide recognition, including the IEI Young Engineer Award, representation at the BRICS Young Scientist Forum, and the prestigious Japanese Government MEXT Fellowship. She is also a member of the Indian National Young Academy of Sciences (INYAS) and the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI).
