13 GYA members and alumni, among them former Co-Chair of the GYA Eva Alisic, attended the 2nd International Network for Government Science Advice Conference from 29 to 30 September 2016 in Brussels. The two-day conference brought together users and providers of scientific advice on critical, global issues. The meeting was jointly organised by the European Commission and the International Network for Government Science Advice (INGSA) and identified general principles, practices and examples to provide scientific advice for policy makers worldwide. Together with the International Network for Government Science Advice (INGSA) and the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (JRC), the GYA invited applications for participation in the workshop ‘Broadening the scope of science advice’ on 28 September 2016 in Brussels, Belgium. Selected candidates were also invited to attend the 2nd INGSA Conference on Science and Policy Making: towards a new dialogue’. A detailed report will be available soon.
