GYA: Photo Archive

In order to build an archive of photos to be used in our publications (of any kind) we kindly as you, as a GYA member, alumni or friend of our network, to help us by providing photos you have taken. If you have attended an event, met anyone working with or for the GYA, or simply took a photo of a lovely detail (nature shots, buildings, small interesting things, meeting paraphernalia – your imagination is the limit) and would like to submit it, please do so below.

This form allows you to upload 1 file at a time. If you have larger numbers of photos you would like to submit please use the batch upload version of this form.

  • Please enter a valid email address so we can contact you should there be questions or feedback concerning your submitted photograph.
    Please do let us know what your status in relation to the GYA is. Are you a member, an alumni or a friend of the network.
  • Accepted file types: jpg, jpeg, png, Max. file size: 20 MB.

  • Please provide a description for your photograph, especially if it was taken on an event. Then detail what event, and who is on the photo with you.

Please consider the following details before submitting a photograph:
Terms & Conditions

  • All photographs
    • must have a resolution of at least 300×300 ppi,
    • should be 8 MB max, and
    • must be submitted in RGB, B/W, or grey scale as jpeg files only.
  • Submit your photo with a title and short description. Especially if taken at an event please do state what event and who the people on the photo with you are.
  • By submitting an image, you acknowledge and accept that any image submitted to the competition may be used by the Global Young Academy for marketing and promotional purposes.
  • You hereby grant the GYA a non-exclusive, irrevocable licence in each entry throughout the world in all media for any use connected to the promotion of the GYA and its activities, including, but not limited to:
    • inclusion within the website, a brochure, magazine or similar;
    • sub-licencing the submissions to the press for reproduction in connection with the activities of the GYA;
    • allowing viewers of the website to view images on a computer screen, PDA or smartphone and store such pages in electronic form on disk or on a PDA or mobile telephone (but not on any server or other storage device connected to a network) for their personal, non-commercial use only.
  • In no event will the Global Young Academy be responsible or liable for any damages or losses of any kind, including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising out of any user’s access to and use of the website.
  • Your photos will not be made available to anyone not working for or with the Global Young Academy. They will be uses in non-commercial ways only.
