As a network of researchers, GLASSNET can help connect researchers with diverse expertise across a wide range of disciplines, data holdings, and experience. These connections help researchers more quickly tackle the interdisciplinary challenges that arise in SDG research. GLASSNET is asking the community to gather for an online workshop to collectively define the selection criteria for this new ECR Project Launch Award. The award allows for up to USD $6,000 in travel funds, which can be international between US and non-US researchers, or domestic between US researchers.
Are you an early career researcher whose new ideas or emerging work would benefit from connecting across disciplines, across network members, and/or across national boundaries? If so, first join the award design process on April 5. Second, be sure to sign up for the GLASSNET mailing list, where we will announce the selection criteria for the 2023 ECR Project Launch Award after the April 5 workshop. Finally, be prepared to submit your application by May 30. In addition to the parameters defined in the workshop, applications must include the following:
- A letter from the potential host agreeing to the exchange, should the applicant be chosen for the award
- A travel budget
- Optional budget addition: support to attend a conference up to 1 year later to present the research results stemming from the exchange
- Justification for why cross-network collaboration is important to the work
